Prairie Finds
Made a stop in LeClaire, Iowa along the Mississippi River this weekend. Of course we had to check out Antique Archeology, and we happened to uncover this great old cast iron garden planter.
Since the original stop had been unplanned and the discovery a surprise, I returned yesterday with Mom and the Jeep to pick up the planter and another one like it.
It was a beautiful day at a fun stop, and things were busy, but we backed right up to the door, and … yikes! These things were even heavier than they look!
We and the staff helping us needed not even a second to reconsider the load approach before this father and son team jumped in to lend a hand. We were ready to go in no time.
It seems that we grow kindness here on the prairie too. One of the best finds is always the people!
