The End Of The Rainbow
In the quiet middle of nowhere, the solitary traveler wouldn’t expect legions of living things waiting around every bend and turn to wave a warm greeting.
Yet when the corn is tasseling on the prairie, that’s exactly what you get.
At this time of year, on the country commute, “traffic control devices” work less to their defined purpose and more as reminders to stop and appreciate the view.
And wildflowers along the road join in the tassels’ fanfare.
And it’s the green carpet to the red barn that gets walked as thousands of tasseling fans look on.
And then there’s the wealth of hope and assurance that runs through us when the awesome wonders of heaven and earth come together.
In these moments, we know there really is gold at the end of the rainbow!
